City Heights Preparatory Charter School

Hello! Thank you for visiting our school website. My name is Estefani Hernandez, I was born and raised in San Diego, California, but my origins are from  a small town in Mexico called San Francisco del Rincón, Guanajuato. I have lived in City Heights for most of my life, and it has always been a dream of mine to return to my community and provide the support we need. I attended San Diego City College where I earned my Associates in Arts in Mathematics and Pre-Engineering . I then transferred to San Diego State University and earned my Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics. Recently, I finished the credential program through the department of Dual Language and English Learner Education (DLE) at San Diego State University in the subject of mathematics. When I’m not teaching mathematics I enjoy spending time with my family, watching movies and trying different kinds of food. I look forward to learning about our student’s socioemotional, sociolinguistic, sociopolitical and sociocultural backgrounds. I hope that we have a school year filled with many learning experiences.
