Mohammed

Assistant Director

As Assistant Director of City Heights Prep, I'm dedicated to education and helping each student achieve their dreams. My motivation for working in schools is clear: I strive to support every student in reaching their goals, both short-term and long-term, and to do my best in closing equity gaps. I am privileged and honored to serve the City Heights community and school. Originally from Kurdistan, Iraq, my family and I immigrated to America as refugees in pursuit of a better life, driven by my aspiration to earn a PhD after completing my Bachelor's in Psychology at San Diego State University, followed by a Master's in Human Behavior at National University, and finally, a PhD in Educational Leadership at the University of San Diego.

With over a decade of experience at City Heights Prep Charter School, I have cherished every moment. Our school community is characterized by love and an unwavering dedication to meeting each student's unique needs. I appreciate the cultural diversity and resilience displayed by our students daily. Witnessing their academic and personal growth is incredibly rewarding. City Heights Prep Charter School is more than an educational institution; it is a home to many. I am proud to contribute to the family-like atmosphere and nurturing environment we have cultivated here.
